Research shows that when changes occur slowly enough, observers can maintain memory representations of both the pre- and post-change states but still miss the change.

This is because the memory representations are either too short-lived or too general to allow for effective comparison, making the change undetectable to conscious awareness.

While traditional conservation often relies on donations with unclear outcomes, our approach is different—we purchase land outright, placing it in protected trusts that cannot be violated or developed.

This fund, managed in partnership with Re:wild and the E.O. Wilson Conservation Foundation, identifies and purchases critical habitat in biodiversity hotspots around the world.

For every 100 visitors, we purchase and protect approximately one acre of critical habitat forever.
